40x30 cm ~ Painting, Acrylic
A strong wind hits my face. Powerful gusts try to knock me off my feet, swirling me into the whirlwind of the elements. Silvery currents of air carry golden sparks — sand, light, energy. I do not retreat. I meet the storm head-on.
The work is executed using the technique of rich relief painting, where each layer of paint creates an almost sculptural surface, conveying the physical force of the elements. The composition is built on dynamic diagonal flows that can be read in two ways: as powerful gusts of wind beating against my face, or as a spiral vortex drawing me into its center.
A monochrome palette of gray, silver, and black tones is complemented by elegant golden accents — like sparks of light, grains of sand, or precious fragments carried by the currents of air. Textured brushstrokes follow the direction of the wind, creating a sense of movement, pressure, and resistance. The contrast between light and dark areas heightens the drama — calm and storm, silence and the roar of the wind alternate. The work conveys not only a visual image of the elements but also a physical, almost tangible sensation of encountering a natural force.
The piece can be interpreted as an encounter with the elements, as a metaphor for life's trials (going against the wind, not giving up), or as a cosmic phenomenon. This ambiguity invites the viewer to find their own interpretation.
Suitable for modern interiors — living rooms, studies, and offices. The monochrome palette with gold is versatile and elegant, creating a powerful dramatic accent. It looks particularly striking in minimalist spaces, where it can "breathe."
This piece is for those who value strength, dynamism, and are not afraid to face storms head-on.
