This painting evokes passion for me: a sudden, uncontrollable immersion in overwhelming feelings, then a sudden cooling; again, an uncontrollable storm of overwhelming emotions; and again, a wave washing ashore. Passion hidden, on display. Passion between two.
The painting captures a seascape at sunset, where the interplay of light and water seems almost rhythmic. The sky, painted in layers of warm hues—burnt orange, deep amber, and mottled brown—contrasts with light shades of pale blue and white.
