When I was painting, I thought about the treasures in Aladdin's cave.
You're walking and approaching closer: does it seem like a cave? Here and there, lit candles burn and illuminate the cave. What's hiding in it? Aladdin's treasures? In niches and chests, jewels mysteriously glimmer. You walk through the cave, and new secrets are revealed. You can touch the painting and feel this in its texture.
Or is it a waterfall, whose waters are illuminated by the peeking sun? Or a carnival? A festive street? An evening stroll through the city? A couple talking on the street? …
And what do you see?
Vertical flows of golden, yellow, green, brown intertwine with white light in the center—like a ray of sun or candlelight breaking through the darkness of the cave. Horizontal elements create structure—these could be niches, shelves with scrolls, treasure chests. Red accents add drama—rubies? Reflections of flame?
The work is executed in acrylic with textured paste creating a relief surface. Every layer of paint, every crack and protrusion can be felt with your fingers. This is not just an image—it's an invitation to explore, to create your own story.
