Valentina Ritorova is a contemporary abstract artist based in Riga, Latvia, working in oil, acrylics, and mixed media.
Drawing inspiration from the color mastery of the Impressionists and Robert Delaunay, the layered meanings of Kandinsky, Pollock, and Gerhard Richter, and the luminosity of Alexander Maranov, Ritorova creates works that balance contemplative serenity with vibrant energy.
With a background in psychology, Ritorova creates art that explores the depths of human emotion and resonates with the soul. A distinctive feature of her practice is the creation of multi-perspective paintings — works designed to be displayed in different orientations, allowing viewers to discover new narratives and transform their space. This approach reflects a philosophy where the viewer becomes co-creator, bringing their own interpretations to abstract forms.
