40x30 cm ~ Painting, Oil
I wanted to paint a calla lily – a bright, ringing flower due to its texture and at the same time a delicate flower.
This canvas is an elegant interpretation of a floral still life, executed in the technique of impasto paint-ing. The central element of the composition is a single white calla flower, depicted with a special em-phasis on texture - thick, almost sculptural brushstrokes create volume and convey the living structure of the petals and leaf. The background of the painting is maintained in muted, warm tones from brown to beige, which enhances the effect of light contrast and emphasizes the sophistication of the main ob-ject. The flower seems to be illuminated by an inner light, which gives the work a spirit of spirituality and symbolism - calla is often associated with purity, rebirth and nobility. Overall, the work successful-ly combines classical motifs with a modern emphasis on the materiality of paint and emotional richness, which allows one to perceive the painting as a meditative, contemplative image.
